Events: Players & Athletes

Think of a champion sportsman.

Imagine him as he steps onto the field of play? How is he walking? What expression does he wear on his face? When events transpire against him during a game, how does he react? As victory beckons will he waiver or ruthlessly drive home his advantage?

Now picture yourself as you play your game. Do you exude the confidence of a champion? Does frustration engulf you when nothing seems to be going your way during a match? Can you rely on yourself to stay calm and focused even in the most pressurised of game situations?

There are four different sporting types.

  1. Untrained Technique: Untrained Brain
  2. Trained Technique: Untrained Brain
  3. Untrained Technique: Trained Brain
  4. Trained Technique: Trained Brain

Which one are you? To perform at your best, not every now and then but consistently, you need to have a trained technique AND a trained brain.

At the many regular workshops that Trained Brain holds around the country we teach sports people of all abilities the mental skills they need to get the most from their games and reach their true potential.

Our simple and practical methods have been proven at the highest level of sport when working with the likes of Freddie Flintoff, Lewis Moody, Lee Westwood and Michael Vaughan.

Learn to be at your best by managing your state of mind through the four key performance quadrants.

BEFORE

How to mentally prepare for a game. How to access a peak performance mindset and how to effectively train your brain, understand and overcome unwanted fears.

DURING

Focus, concentration and decision making is the basis of quadrant two. This will give you practical and applicable tools to develop a winning mindset allowing you to play at the top level for longer.

IN BETWEEN

These tools are vital in pressure situations to help overcome negative and destructive emotions, especially when coming down the stretch.

Learn how to manage effectively the in between parts of the game. Utilise this time to run your brain for peak performance, as opposed to emotional turmoil.

AFTER

How to train your brain to instantly recall success and develop the ability to let go of failure. Put the positive into your game and help increase self-confidence.
